Advocacy, education and outreach in support of Vancouver's public spaces

The relationship between planning, urban design and the public realm is intergral. A well-designed public space brings people together, and the presence of public amenities – parks, squares, laneways, public art and more – play an integral role in shaping the city.

The VPSN works on a variety of issues connecting planning, urban design and public space. We advocate for including quality public amenities as part of any planning and development process, and we work to promote an equitable distribution of all types of public space throughout the City of Vancouver.
