VPSN Downtown Public Realm Project meeting
Calling all public space enthusiasts, the VPSN needs your help! Join us for our Downtown Public Realm Project meeting on Tuesday, February 10th.
During the first part of the meeting you will get an overview of the project – the goals, objectives, and work to date. We’ll also be going over the specific activities that you can take on (should you so desire!) to help out. This includes: policy research, site analysis, public life studies, archival research and more. We expect this part will take about 45 min.
The second part of the evening involves some collaborative work on our online map and database of downtown spaces. We’re looking for some volunteers to help verify our earlier observation notes, tidy up data sets, and populate our map. It involves working off of a combo of spreadsheet + website + streetview.
For those that are willing to stick around and able to help with this part of the evening’s work… thank you! You’ll need to bring a laptop (with wireless card). The work is pretty straightforward and we’ll run through a quick tutorial and explain what needs to be done!
We’ll be gathering at the offices of Public, who have graciously allowed us the use of their meeting room. The entrance is located beside the Greedy Pig bar.
If you are late, you will need to be let in. There’s no buzzer, so please call Scott at 778-918-2736.
