The Dunbar Chronicles
THE DUNBAR CHRONICLES: EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL…
We asked Dunbar residents to share a few travel anecdotes with us. We then worked with local writers to create short fictional stories based on these anecdotes. These stories will be installed in public places across Dunbar as part of this year’s Salmonberry Days Festival.
Opening day: Sat May 14, 1pm, Dunbar Community Centre
Discover the community’s stories as you walk your walk your way through the Dunbar Chronicles – a self-guided walking tour unlike any other! The stories will remain installed until the end of the month.
Its free and open to everyone, though the stories may appeal more to adults & young adults alike.
Starting point: Dunbar Community Centre – pick up a map, and take yourself on a walk.
Time: Can be as long or short as you like – from 5 min to about 1.5 hour to visit all of the stories.
Dates* (rain or shine): The walking tour is self-guided and can be completed any time. The artist (and possibly some writers) will be on-hand at to discuss the project on the following dates:
Opening day: Sat May 14 at 1 pm
Tues May 17 at 7 pm
Tues May 24 at 7 pm
Sun May 29 at 1 pm
You can RSVP for any of the dates above by emailing dunbarchronicles@gmail.com.
