Friends of the Vancouver City Archives Fall Fundraiser –

Maps! Interested in supporting the work of the Friends of the Archives and learning more about the Archives’ cartographic holdings? Staff members Sue Bigelow and Sharon Walz will talk about the Archives’ efforts to make the 1912 Goad’s fire insurance atlas accessible online and highlight the variety of maps in the Archives holdings. Over 2000 of these are being digitized this year, but join us on October 25^th for an intimate view of a selection of maps not yet available in digital format. Ticket information will be available for Friends members in late September/early October – watch your mail/email for the official invitation. General access to the ticketing service will be available shortly afterward.
