Aboriginal Women and Girls: Experiences in the City
Join hosts Women Transforming Cities, for this grassroots discussion with informed speakers on issues that affect city life for Aboriginal women and girls. Topics include safety, health, family development, leadership, treatment and experiences.
The purpose of the discussion is to develop a comprehensive recommendation that will be presented to Vancouver’s electorates. This is an opportunity for Aboriginal women and girls to share their experiences to inform the leaders that have a responsibility to know the impact of their decisions and how support can better the health and well-being of the Aboriginal women and girls population in Vancouver.
Aboriginal women and girls experiences can reflect the extension and influences that affect them in community, requiring an assessment of what works and what needs change. It is vital to listen and advocate for the social well-being of Aboriginal women and girls.
