Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the winner of the 6th edition of our municipal debate mixer:

FRANCES BULA!!

Congrats Frances! The competition was fierce, but you did it!

A big thank you to every candidate for office that took part. We’re so glad you joined us for the event.

Special thanks to Harrison Mooney for MCing, and to our Panel of Inquisition – Maddi Dellplain (Vancity Lookout), Katie Hyslop (The Tyee), and Dan Fumano (Vancouver Sun/Province), with additional questions from Eden Fineday (IndigiNews).

A very special thank you to the York Theatre for hosting us, Rick Etkin Productions for videography, and to our amazing collaborators at The Tyee, CreativeMornings/Vancouver, SFU City Program and Park People / Ami·es des parcs for helping to make the event happen.

We’ll have more details on the debate shortly, but for now… we’ll start with some special kudos for our winner and this excellent adventure in local democracy. What an epic evening!
