LUNCH MEET hits the spot

Who would have thought that the Long Table could get any longer?

Following two successful weeks of noon-time outdoor dining, the third installment of LUNCH MEET is set to be bigger than ever. We’ve added more tables and chairs to feed the need of the hungry lunch time crowd, as many have taken advantage of the unique communal quality of the Long Table to make new friends, discuss work projects, or just bask in the hot sun. And the tasty tunes provided by DJ Rocky Fisher and lovely centerpieces from Olla Flowers gave everyone even more reason to take an extra-long lunch break.

But the last two weeks were just a taste of things to come. This week, the Pig on the Street and Street Meet food trucks will be joining us on site to offer even more delectable goodies for you foodies.

So bring your boss, classmate, neighbour, and appetite to the 300 block of Abbott St., between Hastings and Cordova, on Thursday July 19th from 11:30am to 1:30pm for a one of a kind lunch time experience.

Lunch Meet is a collaboration of the Vancouver Public Space Network, Space2Place and the City of Vancouver’s Viva Vancouver initiative. It takes place every Thursday in July on the 300-block of Abbott Street.
