“PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where artists, designers and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into public places.”

On Friday September 19th, as part of Park(ing) Day, the VPSN is hosting a Bike-in movie night at the GOPark parking lot on Hastings Street at Hamilton Street. Join bike lovers, public space conveners, interventionists, and other fine folk for what promises to be a fun evening of movie watching under the stars.

Bring your bicycle, take transit or just put your Feet to the Street – we encourage all to attend! The evening starts with bike-focused short films from Vancouver Cycle Chic before the double-bill feature films: The Triplets of Belleville followed by Premium Rush. Movies will begin at 8PM.

Bring blankets/folding chairs as it might get chilly!

Valet bike parking will be generously provided by The BicycleValet.ca

If you would like to lend a hand by volunteering for the event or have other questions, e-mail Aateka Shashank at aateka@vancouverpublicspace.ca.
