Vancouver Urbanist Meetup

For this Vancouver Urbanist Meetup participants will head to Railtown to check out the Settlement Building at 55 Dunlavey Ave. 

Railtown is home to fashion brands, art studios, tech shops, and food and beverage producers. The Settlement Building is a great example of adaptive mixed use in the heart of this eclectic neighbourhood. It houses the Vancouver Urban Winery, the Roaring Twenties Wine Co., Belgard Kitchen, and the recently opened Postmark Brewing Company. Tying it all together is an inviting (family friendly) tasting lounge.

Topics of discussion may include the city’s evolving industrial neighbourhoods and how the region’s political landscape is coming together in advance of the fall’s civic elections. The perennially popular topic of transportation will likely come up in one context or another as well.
