The City of Vancouver is the organizer of the following event.

The Vancouver Park Board is restoring the historical stream in Volunteer and Tatlow parks.

This project is a unique opportunity to recreate a former stream and restore the English Bay shoreline.

By connecting the existing stream in Tatlow Park to English Bay, this project will:

  • Create an ecologically diverse stream corridor in Tatlow and Volunteer parks
  • Improve access to the shoreline through new paths
  • Restore and enhance riparian and shoreline habitat for birds and other wildlife
  • Improve rainwater management

This project is consistent with the Park Board’s Biodiversity Strategy and is identified as a potential new water focus project in the City’s Integrated Rainwater Management Plan.

Join us for the final public open house to learn about the next steps for the Tatlow and Volunteer Park stream restoration project. In 2017 we gathered feedback on initial concepts for the landscape plan and explored technical details of the project.

Join us for our final Tatlow and Volunteer Park public open house. Learn about:

  • The refined concept plan
  • Where water for the stream will come from
  • Challenges and goals related to stream restoration
  • Next steps for the project
