Places for People – Yaletown Launch

Join City staff for an event related to the upcoming “Places for People” strategy, and help shape the future of downtown Vancouver’s public spaces.

There will have a series of information and engagement panels, as well as other material to activate the space. This first phase of the process is about starting the conversation with the public on their ideas, issues, and aspirations for public space and public life in the Downtown Vancouver, as we lead up to our first Public Space and Public Life Study at the end of the August.

A total of four launch events will be taking place between late June and early July. If you’re not able to make the event, an online survey and asset mapping tool will also be launched that day. You’ll be able to check it out at vancouver.ca/placesforpeople (note: the site will be live on June 29).

Key Places for People dates to mark in your calendar:

  • Official Launch – Central Business District – June 29 11AM-1:30PM in 800 Robson – Robson Square
  • Launch – Yaletown – July 6 – 3PM-6PM in Bill Curtis Square
  • Launch – Coal Harbour – July 8 – 11AM-2PM in Coal Harbour Park
