Opening Reception: The Warring Homeland

Please join us for the opening reception of The Warring Homeland on July 8, 2017 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The Warring Homeland features a collection of works by Chinese photographer Yang Jian. In his photographs, Jian explores the impacts of climate change on society and human-made structures. He highlights the effect of climate change on social and cultural heritage through capturing the environment’s influence over ancient architecture.
Artist Bio:
Yang Jian is an internationally acclaimed photographer from Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, China. He has won numerous national and international awards including the World Engineers Summit Biennial Photography Competition. Four of the works in The Warring Homeland received the highest recognition in the prestigious competition.
