4 PM – 6:45 PM

The following event is being organized by the Still Moon Arts Society.

The festival season isn’t over quite yet! This Saturday, the 15th annual Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival is returning to Vancouver for a night you won’t soon forget.

An event packed full of family-fun, lantern parades, vegetable competitions, and lots of fun, the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival has something for everyone! Co-produced by the Renfrew Park Community Association and the Still Moon Art Society, the festival celebrates the first full moon of the fall.

The event kicks off on Saturday (September 30) from 4:00pm – 6:45pm at the Harvest Fair at Slocan Park with games, crafts, live music, food, and a home-grown vegetable competition. Ever wanted to see the longest green bean or the biggest squash grown in Vancouver? This is the place to be!

After the Harvest Festival, you can head down to the ravine (that runs along Atlin Street from 22nd to 29th streets), where a twilight lantern parade and other fun entertainment will take place. Starting at 6:45pm, festival goers can light their own lanterns and walk the trails along the ravine, accompanied by live music as darkness falls. Passing by the river-stone labyrinth, the procession is invited to a walking meditation surrounded by music and light. The parade then passes by other lantern installations and surprise performances until it reaches Renfrew Park.
