Canoe Crossings: Understanding the Craft That Helped Shape British Columbia

September 2, 2014
7 PM – 8:30 PM

Vancouver author and paddler Sanford Osler will give an illustrated talk covering highlights from his recently published book about the history of the canoe (and kayak) and British Columbia’s rich and colourful canoe culture.

“Canoe Crossings: Understanding the Craft that Helped Shape British Columbia” traces the evolution of the various types of canoes (broadly defined to include kayaks and dragon boats) found in BC from their first appearance here to the present, and looks at the impact they have had on the province and its people.

Admission is free. Seating is limited.
No registration required.
