<p>Vancouver&#8217;s parks play host to a wide range of activities &#8211; from tennis to tai chi, from picnics to pitch &#8216;n putt&#8230; but among the coolest to watch is kite-flying.</p>
<p>The city&#8217;s off-shore breezes make kiting particularly dramatic at ocean-side parks such as New Brighton, English Bay and Jericho (to name three). </p>
<p>The picture above, taken earlier today by VPSN member Yvonne Hii, comes from Kitsilano Point. It captures several kite fliers showing their stuff &#8211; a dance of synchronized swirls and arcs above the weekend beach-goers.</p>
