With Vancouver’s Greenest City 2020 Action Plan in mind, the VPSN is dedicated to preserving the city’s greenspaces and ensuring fair and equitable access for all citizens. We believe in public consultation to find common ground between the needs of citizens and the Parks Board. Our volunteers are active throughout Vancouver working to animate greenspaces, establish community gardens, and undertake “guerilla gardening” in underused public spaces. We also engage in advocacy with the Parks Board, working to ensure the quality and distribution of parks and greenspaces is maintained so citizens can reap their full benefits.
