Where's the Square - Jury

The Vancouver Public Space Network was honoured to have the support of a dynamic six-person jury to guide the selection of a winning public square design. Combined, jury members brought a wealth and diversity of expertise to the evaluation process - a portfolio that included architecture, planning and design, as well as art, civil liberties and interdisciplinary studies.

The jury was comprised of:

Lance Berelowitz - Town planner, principal of Urban Forum Associates, and author of Dream City: Vancouver and the Global Imagination, 2005

Jane Durante - Landscape Architect, principal of Durante Kreuke Ltd.

Bill Pechet - Architect and Designer, principal of Pechet and Robb

Michael Vonn - Policy Director, BC Civil Liberties Association

Derek von Essen - Photographer and illustrator of A Verse Map of Vancouver, 2009)

Yosef Wosk - Professor, Director Interdisciplinary Programs in Continuing Studies at Simon Fraser University.
