Our next VPSN monthly meet-up focuses on the connections between public space, health, safety and social wellbeing.
We’ll be joined by Mitchell Reardon of Happy City to speak to the public space-well-being connection and to share a recent analysis of a few City of Vancouver pavement-to-plaza projects.
We also want to hear from you! There meeting will include a workshop component, and we want your help to refine our understanding of what well-being looks like in public spaces. In particular, how might we look at the connection in terms of:
- Physical and mental health
- Social connection
- Inclusion, diversity and accessibility
Please consider bringing a Vancouver (or local) example or two of a public space or feature that promotes wellbeing – and be prepared to speak briefly to why you think it’s great!
The event is FREE. To help us with our planning, please let us know if you’re joining us.
